| ... I think I've translated this successfully from a post on VML... if someone who speaka-da-lingo better than me (ie literally anyone else on here) could confirm this is correct?
The post I saw reproduced here:
"petit message reçu hier d ' ARDECHE MINIATURES : tous le 9 mai 2009 pour la journée des amateurs de train de jardin"
from this thread:
http://voiemetriquelibre.moninter.net/la-vapeur-vive-en-voie-de-45mm-f16/retour-d-ardeche-miniatures-t842.htm
From what Carl has said of the place before now, could be well worth a visit for anyone in the vacinity? I just wish I lived closer... _________________ Cheers,

| Thanks for posting Clive. I was tipped off about the possibility this at RailExpo but no dates. Now we have a date so I will contact them. Pierre Malfay the former owner I know and I met one of the new owners at Longueville in September.
I plan to go by car with a few railcars, steamers and maybe the diesel monster.
If anyone from the north wants to share the 6 1/2 hr ride from Paris let me know. there are cheap hotels across the river Rhone around Valence which is 10 mins drive. You can get there by TGV too. Ardeche miniatures is at Soyons, south of Tournan (Vivarais) on the west bank of the Rhone.
A beautiful place. |

| Ardeche Minitures is well worth a visit, even on a "normal" day. They attempt to squash the whole Vivarais network into a single yard.
What disappointed me was that they make all of the viaduct and bridges from their own moulds but said that they would not produce more for sale for copyright reasons???
If I am in the Drome that weekend I will be there.

| Hello Peter and welcome to our small forum.
Tell us more about your railway exploits and interests. Do you have a railway in the garden for instance?
If you are looking for viaduct/bridge moulds then try contacting Pierre Christian at Imagimonde via his website/e mail or through this forum of which he is a member.
It was Pierre who built the viaduct (and other buildings) at le Jarditrain. http://www.lejarditrain.com/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=81 |

| From a link on the Jarditrain page, there is an article describing the reopening, with some nice pics of the site:

| Thank you Daniel for resurrecting this post!
So, Mikey and Brian (and anyone else) were you able to attend this event last year? _________________ Cheers,

| I had an invite but I couldn't get down there last year.
I would love to go. I'm thinking about it this year . Fantastic place and excellent camaraderie with French (and other nationalities...) genuine garden railway enthusiasts.
It seems in good hands now and I hope the business is a continued success.
Arguably the finest garden railway in the world.

On a related matter Carl, aren't we due for another WEMFAL this year?
