Nothing new to report! As the module is largely finished!

I'm still recovering from a minor operation in hospital last week, but very little still to do with the module, the only things before Chatellerault that I'm having difficulty with are the curtain for the front and painting the fascia.

I have no idea where to source the curtain and we have no needlework skills here anyway!

Daniel - I would welcome a visit from you to advise on detailing before the Exhibition.

One can source lightweight coloured poly cotton on e bay for reasonable prices.

Pour moi la longueur est 1,7 mètre.

Mais comme j'ai déjà dit les rideaux dans le photo sont fabriqués spécialement, avec les plis par exemple. C'est mieux si nos rideaux sont fabriqué dans le même façon.
Peux-tu les faire ?

Nous n'avons plus la couturière qui fabriquait les rideaux .
Il faut savoir que pour fabriquer un plissé ( c'est le mot technique ) il faut acheter 2,5 fois la longueur terminée !!!

Je ferai les rideaux pour nous deux très simple, sans plisses compliquées...je ne suis pas couturier mais j'ai une machine à coudre.

J'ai déjà fait les rideaux pour mon réseau portable et j'ai agrandi mes pantalons et mes culottes (plusieurs fois... ).

Carl , ce tissu est très bien .
la couturière avait fabriqué les plis car nôtre tissu est plus léger et donc plus transparent .
Et les plis ,c'est très esthétique !!!!

is far too heavy for curtains.

It is 650 gr per metre and is meant for upholstery fabrics and not really as curtain material.

I have trouble in finding 'Bordeaux red' on the internet at this weight and a sensible price.

Although I found this much lighter weight cotton M1 classed but in dark grey.

Having returned from my first exhibiting, have started on a few modifications to the module.

Firstly integrating an LGB controller into the back of the module, so no more loose wires...


And fabricating a pair of gates out of brass and copper wire to fill the gap between the two buildings in the centre of the module...

I've decided to modify the barrel wagons to look a little more realistic, so buying some blackened smaller wheelsets at ExpoRail and changing the LGB couplers for chain they now look like this...
